Brian grew up in rural Oregon and graduated from
University of Oregon Law School in 1980. Brian has
spent his entire professional career in practice in Anchorage
as a CPA and attorney. He began his career as a CPA with
Coopers & Lybrand, specializing in estate and gift tax
matters. Brian then practiced law with Bogle & Gates for 14
years focusing on business law and estate planning. Brian
founded the Durrell Law Group in 1997.

Ann Bruner grew up in northern California and graduated
from the University of California, Davis, School of Law in
1993. After graduation she moved to Anchorage and clerked
for Justice Warren Matthews of the Alaska Supreme Court. She
then joined Bogle & Gates where she practiced law for four
and a half years before joining the Durrell Law Group in
early 1999.

Alexandra grew up in Anchorage, Alaska. After graduating from law school at the University of Arizona, she clerked for Justice Michael D. Ryan of the Arizona Supreme Court. She then returned to Alaska and spent three years at the Alaska Public Defender Agency as a misdemeanor trial attorney, felony trial attorney, and appellate attorney. She joined Durrell Law Group in 2010, taking a leave of absence from August 2011 - May 2012 to complete an L.L.M. in Taxation from New York University School of Law.

Heidi Borson grew up throughout the United States and Europe and first moved to Alaska in 1981. After graduating from law school, Heidi practiced civil rights law, employment law, and elder law at MacDonald, Hoague & Bayless in Seattle, WA; served as Supervising Attorney of the Access to Justice Institute at Seattle University School of Law; and clerked for Judge Bryan in United States District Court, Western District of Washington, and for Judge Sedwick and Judge Holland in United States District Court, District of Alaska. Heidi's practice focuses on business and health care law, estate planning, and real property law. Heidi joined Durrell Law Group in 2011.

Lea McKenna grew up in Santa Barbara, California and graduated from the University of California Berkeley Law in 2001, where she was a member of the editorial board of the California Law Review. After graduation she clerked for Chief Justice Dana Fabe of the Alaska Supreme Court. She owned a successful and busy immigration law practice in Anchorage for 13 years. She then joined Shaftel Delman, LLC where she practiced business, estate planning, trust administration, probate, and immigration law. She joined Durrell Law Group in 2020, where she continues to focus on these areas of practice. She speaks Spanish and enjoys representing Spanish-speaking clients.
