Estate Planning Services
Fees and Expenses
We understand that legal issues can sometimes be confusing, overwhelming – and costly. It is our goal to efficiently and effectively serve the legal needs of our clients. Part of that is being transparent about our fees and expenses.
Fees
Our fees for most services are determined on an hourly basis. The hourly rates vary depending upon the skill and experience of the attorney or paralegal providing the services. In the case of comprehensive estate planning projects and the organization of some corporations or limited liability companies, we will provide services at an agreed-upon fixed fee. We will provide a quote for fixed fees after meeting with the client to gather the necessary information and determine the scope of the project and our role. Each engagement for legal services, whether based upon an hourly or fixed fee arrangement, is reflected in a written fee agreement.
Expenses
Our policy regarding costs is to request reimbursement only for the actual out-of-pocket costs we incur. These out-of-pocket costs might include, among other costs, trust registration fees, recording fees, state filing fees, overnight or hand-delivery costs, and title company fees. We do not bill for overhead costs, such as copy, fax, postage or long-distance phone charges.
